The bear symbolizes strength, courage and protection. When the salmon starts to run in Alaska , the bears are just coming out of hibernation. Bears are singular animals, so you can imagine the excitement of getting images when there are many of them all wanting fish for dinner. Fun facts: When the grizzly bears come out of hibernation their coats are a blonde color. Bears need 20.000 calories a day to bulk up for the next hibernation. As they consume lots of calories from the fish their coats change to the beautiful cinnamon brown we are used to. This is probably more information than you wanted to know but as you see the bears in my images you will know why they are a funny color for grizzly bears.
